Unfortunately I didn't start going to shows until the early 70s (I missed many great shows before that!). Saw the Carly Simon & Rita Coolidge shows. Great concerts and great ticket prices. What about Fairleigh Dickinson shows- Lots of great concerts there also- The Sweet, Climax Blues Band, and the free outdoor concerts in the summer- I remember playing Frisbee with members of Quicksilver Messenger Service! Anyone else?

I was a high school senior at Hackettstown High School in the fall of 1970. I hitchhiked with some friends to see one of my first concerts, the Byrds, at Drew. Unfortunately, David Crosby had left the band by then, but Roger McGuinn was still in the band. The only songs that I really remember from the show are Chesnut Mare and Eight Miles High. We had a great time.

I went to many shows at Drew in the 60's and early 70's. The most notable had to be the Who in 68...In fact I sat in the front row with my Kodak Instamatic camera and a roll of 24 pictures. I took all 24 but only one came out. I found the negative a few years ago and now have a great shot of Roger Daltry with Keith Moon behind him framed and on my wall. I also still have 2 programs and my ticket stub from that show. I attended the Airplane/.. Earth Opera show (Earth Opera were incredible)...Animals....Lovin Spoonful...Mothers of Invention...Orpheus...Van Morrison...John Mayall...Mountain...Ritchie Havens and more but I can't remember all of them! Great venue for the times! I have the program from the Airplane show and Spoonful show as well....very cool. Great memories.

The inspirational Mr. Eberhart, on whose small crew I served, did the sound and lighting for Airplane. Being backstage at Baldwin Gym next to the sound system literally blew my head off. You couldn’t help but be moved by the performance.

I oversaw the Speaker Series at Drew in 1976–77. That year, we had Kate Millett, author of <em>Sexual Politics</em>, psychedelic therapist Timothy Leary (“Turn on, tune in, drop out”) and filmmaker Marcel Ophuls (<em>TheSorrow and the Pity</em>).

My freshman year, Leslie West, formerly of Mountain, played at FAP and jammed to the song “Mississippi Queen.” After that, Drew entered a black hole in the early ’80s of no-name artists from which I don’t think it has ever recovered.

I remember my introduction to psychedelic rock. Indeed, Drew Concerts were do-it-yourself affairs. The inspirational Mr. Eberhart, with his small crew among whom I served, did the sound and lighting for Airplane. Being backstage at Baldwin Gym next to the sound system literally blew my head off. You couldn't help but be moved by the performance.

I seem to recall Bonnie Raitt and Renaissance giving concerts in the late 70's as well, but don't see them listed.

I was so happy to see this story. I was able to attend most of the concerts and as many in my generation would say, remember clearly only selected moments, but what an amazing time at Drew. The music was enough to last a lifetime!
