Though I may be deafened by this, let’s have a generous round of applause for MFA faculty member Alicia Suskin Ostriker for winning the National Jewish Book Award in Poetry for her new book, The Book of Seventy (University of Pittsburgh, 2009). Or you could wait until March 9, when the New York City-based Jewish Book Council rolls out the red carpet at its awards ceremony.
